 After talking with @johnjamesjacoby, @costdev and I brainstormed another
 approach. He has a promising proof of concept that he'll refine a wee bit
 more and then push. Monday, I'll redo my tests with it. Hopefully (fingers
 crossed), this adjusted approach will be viable and ready for more broad
 testing.
