Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere and if it was, please ignore

This is a good point. I see the conversation on this ticket mainly focuses
on what will happen to users who have offending plugins already installed
and active. What about offending plugins that are going to be installed?
Will the WordPress plugins directory list offending plugins with no
warning they will break the admin? Not sure how it can be done from a
technical perspective, but I'd say that at the very least all plugins that
use jQuery `live()` should be clearly marked as: "This plugin is not
compatible with WordPress 5.5 and later".
