 This ticket and associated patch is streamlining the navigation across
 back-end and front-end. I think that Ryan did an excellent summary above
 (comment 12). It's not just about moving that link. :)

 The discussion of dropping Appearance and keeping just Customizer is
 entirely different (and as far as I know got a sensible pushback
 recently), so let's avoid that in this ticket. As Helen said we're
 polishing flow, avoiding that a menu opens entirely different destinations
 from a single list. Which led us to a cleaner navigation overall, so this
 so far feels a big win, also thanks to the swift patching by Cello. :)

 I think the direction is good right now... but I'd like a check on the
 icon lol :D
