 That would work too, I'm not too picky on the implementation honestly, I
 was just counting a md5 failure as a Download failure, and one which
 should therefor be returned from download_url() rather than being handled
 outside of the function.

 I like the patch as it stands, just wanted to throw that thought into the
 arena :)
