 I don't think the approach of saving each menu item individually really
 addresses the problem for those users who are experiencing this issue.
 Most of the time they will just add all the menu items and click save;
 they ''won't'' bother to expand and save each menu item individually,
 especially if they have more than 15 menu items.

 And truly forcing users to update menu items ''only'' individually is much
 too annoying; it certainly isn't warranted by the very tiny number of
 people running into this issue.
