 It has been nearly TWO YEARS since this issue was opened, and as I have
 said previously Matt Mullenweg is ignoring it.

 He does really does not care about you.

 Automattic get their data from all the sites they host at wordpress.com
 which can install plugins.

 Automattic get even more data from Jetpack which is heavily promoted, and
 Jetpack is very chatty about every data point. (Jetpack seems to get a bye
 with regard to plugin guidelines about data)

 Automattic then look at the data and sherlock popular plugins.

 Automattic do not care about you.

 I said this before and it is still true.

 If you made a plugin, you helped build WordPress, and ...... Matt got
 rich.

 You will never ever get the data you want.
