There have been no changes in 10 years. We haven't even got a simple thing
like new theme tags, which is "being worked on" for who knows how long. No
tags, no search, no filters, no multiple screenshots, no readme files,
absolutely nothing. The Twenty themes still in the Popular tab.
Now suddenly there's the desire to throw everything at FSE themes, which
is not even a finished "feature".
I have to agree with @joyously, how do you go against this argument?
"If block themes are the future and are better and easier, they don't need
any extra promotion."
The repo should not bend under any specific feature that is popular
(allegedly) on that day. It should have an efficient search and a proper
browsing/filtering experience.
If that would be addressed instead, then it would make all these
discussions obsolete.
