Hi Bryan,
We appreciate your input and your opinion does count. Your situation
is in fact one that caused us to reconsider the requirements to see if
they can be improved. Under the new guidelines currently proposed your
site would qualify for inclusion in the listing.
But yes, one motivation for the change is in the spirit of also
rewarding those who contribute to the WP ecosystem and contribute back
to the community.
That said, the new guideline doesn't "stand to show that many of [the]
theme shops ... should be taken down" and yours added. The guideline
is a new criteria. The theme shops currently listed meet the existing
guidelines.
