[theme-reviewers] Social Bookmarking links in themes?

Hello,

Is it allowed to include the social websites (facebook/twitter etc) links
in the theme code?

Here's the message from a theme reviewer:

'You should remove all default public-facing options-theme links, except
for the allowed footer credit link. (For example twitter link) '

Sorry, I had to post this question in the mailing list, as the theme ticket
was really old and had been closed.
