Well, on that note. :) (I was refraining since I'm relatively new, and
not around nearly as much as many of you guys because I simply don't
have the time.)

The only cautions I'll point out that others haven't already...

1. Moderation of a forum like this is going to be touchy. Since some of
the mods on the forum offer paid services themselves, any moderation of
other's posts of paid service offers is going to be a fertile ground for
pointing fingers and claiming favoritism. This is but one of many
reasons that the rules for this forum need to be rock solid with no gray
areas.

2. At least at the beginning, moderation is probably going to be a lot
of work. Hope all you mods are ready to dig in! :)

Part of me is with V on this one - I see a huge potential for trouble.
Human nature tends to get its ugliest when money's at stake.

But another part of me sees value to it, as someone who does offer paid
services with WP. (Though I've spent much more time answering support
questions and helping folks for free than I've gotten paid for. Heh.) I
think it's the kind of thing that's worth trying, but like someone else
said (I've lost track) - if it doesn't work, the plug should be pulled.

As long as it's *clearly* separate from the support forums, and the
rules are made crystal clear up front, I'm leaning toward thinking it's
a good thing to try.

Mel
