Comment:

 It's true that "email" in isolation is ambiguous, but in context it seems
 clear. An “email '''address''' with instructions on how to reset your
 password” wouldn't make any sense. But it's  also true that “email
 address” is previously mentioned, so in theory someone reading this might
 think “email” is just being used as a shortcut for “email address” and
 there could be additional mental processing time to disambiguate.
