 Coming in to support this design wise and to say that even in testing
 initially the only hitch was around compact which I suspected was going to
 happen based on previous explorations:

 > From Jb's screenshots above, one note I'd add is that you can use either
 the 32px or 40px height for most of the controls, e.g. try the "compact"
 view here. 32px may be a better fit for many of these.

 This would also be my recommendation.
