Comment:

 Tested against trunk (7.0-alpha-61215-src).

 Attempted to apply 47002-2.patch, but it fails with:
 "malformed patch at line 25".

 The patch appears corrupted or too outdated to apply cleanly, so testing
 is not currently possible.

 Since this ticket is several years old, requesting reporter/maintainer
 feedback on whether this change is still needed.
