Comment:

 I attempted to apply the latest patch (wp-includes.general-
 template.get_search_form.rev3.diff) against current trunk (7.0-alpha), but
 it could not be applied.

 Grunt output:
 "File to patch not found"

 It appears this patch was created against a very old file structure and no
 longer matches the current codebase, so testing is not possible.

 Since the patch is ~14 years old and does not apply anymore, it likely
 needs a complete refresh. Keeping `needs-testing` would not be meaningful
 until an updated patch is available.

 Also requesting feedback from the reporter/component maintainers on
 whether this issue is still relevant and needs a fix in current core.
