Comment:

 Hi,
 The posts page always use either front-page, home and index in this order.
 This is decided by the template hierarchy and is not different between the
 classic themes and block themes.

 You can also see that when a block theme is active, and you are editing
 the ''page'' that is set as the posts page, the template can not be
 changed. The option to change the template is not available.

 Because of this, I am closing this ticket.
