 100% agree. Do we ''know'' that redirects are a problem? Is it more, or
 less, of a problem that we’ve introduced now, essentially hiding a
 plugin’s configuration view?

 I’m not confident “Install” > “Activate” > “Configure” on its own is
 enough of a comparable alternative. Perhaps it introduces more concision,
 as under what conditions does the “Deactivate” action render now? Only
 after configuration is complete?

 In any case, I support reverting to accommodate for a proper solution.
