 Thanks for the response. I should have emphasised that I understood the
 situation & decision and thought that was the right/great outcome. The
 sentence you were responding to was more of a counterweight to some of the
 views expressed earlier (before the decision had been made). I just felt
 it worthwhile to present an alternative viewpoint.

 Anyway, I would repeat what I said earlier about the sooner it's released,
 the better (we are seeing users impacted by this), but thanks for all the
 work going into resolving this! It's much appreciated.

 For the record (I've provided this info directly to Peter), I've tested
 the fix (5996) and can confirm that theme and plugin zips that I couldn't
 load in 6.4.3 can be loaded in the fixed version.
