 p.s. the above code will won't "do the right thing" if the image doesn't
 have XMP data :-)

 also, see this [https://stackoverflow.com/a/2837300 Stack Overflow] post
 for some code that is supposed to be able to extract multiple XMP
 blocks...I haven't tried it.
