 Eh.. the MySQL extension was removed from PHP when PHP 7.0 was released.


 This doesn't sound like an issue with WordPress, but as an issue with a
 misconfigured hosting account in which the (required) `mysqli` extension
 has not been enabled (on PHP 8.1 or at all).
