I think you have it backward. Over two dozen plugins hook in the same way
- this one is just more Divi Friendly, which has nothing to do with how
the welcome screen is dismissed.
This welcome message is persistent, meaning that it does not "dismiss".
Now the only option is to hide the Welcome Message via Screen Options.
Which disables ALL plugins that use that space!
I understand WP is going t make changes, but as they expect others to play
nice with them, so should they play nice with others! This change has no
bearing on the functionality of the Core Word Press - honestly, I see it
as an oversight change on the side of WordPress. There is NO need to break
dozens of plugins installed on thousands of websites.
