 I certainly agree. That's why I wanted a discussion about how could it be
 possible to smooth a transition.

 But let's make a step back for my piece of mind, do we agree that the real
 meaning of "Remember me" in plain in English is "Keep me logged in on this
 computer for 14 days"?

 I don't agree:
 "[ ] Rememer me (keep me logged in on this computer for 14 days)" is
 certainly too long, but I think this is the kind of info that really would
 make a user feel safe and reassured about what's going on.

 I develop on WP, and I had to dig in the codex to find out precisely what
 it meant. Compared to -say- google: you authorize a browser and you REALLY
 never have to log on again for months and months.

 I think it's too early to balance the costs/benefits because we haven't
 established possible courses of action.
 For esample: do we have in-page popups in WP? I don't think I ever saw
 them.
