 Thanks for the report!

 [https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/italics-
 quotations/italics#reverse-italics Reversing italics] should be
 intentional when using the `I` button. If you only want to change the
 (block) style, the Appearance setting in the sidebar may be more
 appropriate.

 However, matching the editor styling to the front end would help.
