 subscription upsell then I am sure a justification for bundling that
 plugin with WordPress would likely emerge.

 I don't think that kind of "assumptions" really serve the purpose of this
 ticket.

 As said during today's devchat, this proposal needs a decision from
 WordPress.org leadership. The ticket will be mentioned in today's devchat
 meeting summary so we'll hopefully get some news from project leadership
 soon.

 In the meantime, let's keep this ticket open for discussion :)
