 @peterwilsoncc I'm guessing no errors shown anywhere in your testing. I
 haven't looked closely at the code, but this possibly points to a need for
 more detailed capture of information, at least when there are failures.

 I see that WP_Error objects are being created by the new functions and
 returned to their calling functions, but I can't see that the errors are
 output anywhere. Am I missing something?
