New description:
Hi,
I have 2 problems with twentyseventeen.
~~1. When I change the section by customizer, theme options, frontpage
sections, I see the right content, but when I want to save, it's all gone
and blank again. I saw some people had the same issue, but no solution.
Can anybody help?~~
2. The sidebar in the appearance widgets, is filled with search and so on.
But it only disappears at the posts, not in the main menu. And the posts
~~dis~~appear as a page and not in the sidebar.
Anybody any idea how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance,
Carina

Comment:
Sorry for the very late response. This might have been better in the
[https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ support forums].
Do I understand correctly that you wanted the widgets—including the Recent
Posts links widget—to appear on every page (whether it is a Post or Page)?
If so, the easiest method might be moving any widget you want on all pages
from the Blog Sidebar widget area to one of the two Footer areas. Another
method involves creating a child theme and editing the template file.
