 Thanks for exploring this @karmatosed.
 The second option looks good to me and seems technically doable without
 risk before Beta 4.

 To be honest, I prefer the current implementation with exactly the same
 interface for opt-in and opt-out, but if we as a team, want to disconnect
 the two states, I think your proposal is good to go.
