 Completely agree. There's really no reason to use jQuery in this day and
 age, especially when it's such a heavy library being included on the
 front-end part of the site as well. See http://youmightnotneedjquery.com/
 and https://css-tricks.com/now-ever-might-not-need-jquery/ to really
 determine if it's necessary; I'd hazard a guess that it's not.
