 One thing we'll want to make sure is considered and tested is how this
 works in multisite.  Is a users avatar that's uploaded to one site
 replicated across others they're on?  Do they have to upload the same
 avatar to each site if that's what they want?  Does updating an avatar on
 one site ensure others remain the same for that user or do they all get
 updated to the newly updated avatar?
