Comment:

 It appears there are a few plugins out there that will break the admin-
 side when upgrading to 5.5
 Presumably plugins with outdated jQuery, relying on {{{jquery-migrate}}}
 to function properly.

 Expect **''alot''** of core-tickets/support-tickets once 5.5 is rolled
 out.
 This is just a trickle for now. But it's safe to assume there are more out
 there.

 I've re-opened this because it's not only the plugins themselves not
 working. They're throwing uncaught errors - and breaking wp-core's
 functionality. Admin menu script-based submenu hover, screen-meta-links,
 and presumably other plugins' functionality that relies on javascript.
