 I'm not certain that I see the shorter, tighter copy in the link you
 shared, @marybaum -- is it in "WP Admin Wrapper"? (Ack! I might be Figma-
 challenged!)

 I agree that **neutral** language is not the goal here, but I don't agree
 that the About page should be treated as advertising copy. This page
 always conveys the release team's enthusiasm for the features they're
 bringing to WordPress, but the intended audience is already using
 WordPress. To ensure readability and easy translation, the copy should be
 friendly and somewhat casual,  but also concise.

 I think a little additional copy editing is in order, to bring this closer
 to the WordPress voice. Happy to help with that in the same way that
 Josepha has in the past, but I want to make sure I'm working from the most
 recent draft. :)
