 I had a site with TwentySeventeen Theme and never encountered this
 problem. Because the icon for the "reader mode" in Safari browser is NOT
 THERE when I am on the general page (and not a specific post page). I just
 saw this behavior when I reinstalled the Seventeen theme : no reader mode
 possible for the list of posts as seen at the root of the blog.

 When on Nineteen theme, the icon of the reader mode is visible on the root
 page, but when I click it, it shows me a post published months ago... When
 I navigate to a specific post address, the reader mode show correctly the
 page. So is it possible to disable the icon and possibility of reader mode
 when on root level ?
