 @dmethvin If you're just wanting to test out a patch (rather than wanting
 to set up a Git repo with full history that tracks the SVN repo), then you
 should just do an ordinary SVN checkout; or, download the nightly zip:
 https://wordpress.org/nightly-builds/wordpress-latest.zip
