 I can. Just uncheck "Display Site Title and Tagline".

 And as @xkon says, the site uses custom colors that modify the theme.

 @ehlersjw Try the '''`[Get help]`''' button on the support page at
 WordPress.COM. There is no such bug, as described, in the Twenty Eleven
 theme [https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyeleven]
