 Hello, We are all here on our free time contributing, so yes there is
 monitoring but the replying / patching time varies from ticket to ticket
 depending on any given contributors time that wants to take a look ( like
 I did today ).

 To the ticket. I just installed Twenty Eleven on a fresh WordPress
 installation and all 3 search boxes that I'm aware of are looking fine on
 my end.

 White background with gray `#888` color when not focused and `#373737`
 darker gray when focused.

 I'm not sure if there's another search box somewhere that I'm missing at
 the moment. Are you sure you don't have any extra css code anywhere or
 browser addon that alters your theme / ui ?
