 Thank you for the bug report, @tikarambhandari .

 I just tested this against the latest build and was not able to replicate
 the issue.  The URI /feed defaults to the RSS2 template, which has logic
 to support this feature. See
 https://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/src/wp-includes/feed-
 rss2.php#L104.

 However, I have no doubt that you've discovered some quirk and I'm happy
 to help try to figure out what is causing your result.  Can you provide a
 little more information about your environment?  Do the post in question
 have the excerpt field populated?  Have you checked to see if you get the
 same result with a different browser and/or aggregator?
