 I think the way I profiled the command above does mess somewhat with the
 processing.

 The following screenshots show another way of timing the changes, using
 `curl` to retrieve the same REST API request.

 **Wall time without this patch: ~0.49s**

 **Wall time with this patch: ~0.35s**
