Comment:

 @zoonini how about [attachment:not-rendered-widget-area-notification.mov]?
 When there are widget areas registered but not rendered,
 [attachment:39087.1.diff] will then show [attachment:one-non-rendered-
 widget-area.png] when there is one widget are not rendered and [attachment
 :two-non-rendered-widget-areas.png] when there are two or more not
 rendered.

 This would be a quick win and could be part of 4.7.4
