 The mediaelement-2.22.0 fixes @rafa8626 provided a month ago are not
 working any more in wp 4.8 with https and Safari on Mac OS 10.12.5 or
 mobile Safari on iOS 10.

 Is there a chance to get at least a quick fix for the https issue, which
 is not fixed for many months now? I am still wondering why there are not
 more bug reports about it, are there still so few sites running on https?
