 I'm in the same boat here - our server is unable to correctly resolve IPv6
 addresses. This happens regularly, for example, with Facebook graph
 requests.

 We avoid this by using http_api_curl to set the CURL_IPRESOLVE option to
 CURL_IPRESOLVE_V4. WP4.6 has broken this.
