 I thought the idea was to effectively replace the (legacy)
 `check_comment_flood` action with the (new) `wp_is_comment_flood` filter.
 If this is the case, I wouldn't personally bother with updating the older
 action - if you want to "avoid dying", just use the new filter instead.
