 For Hover/Active we should use the same we're using for the `x` at the
 top, since the bottom bar is structured in the same way, including the
 background gray.

 Ok for the gray.

 I've attached a second iteration (i2) that shows how it would work for
 Active / Hover.


 Aside: from the screenshot, the icons seem a little too high (vertical
 alignment).
