 Hi there, and welcome to Trac!

 Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be a WordPress issue, but rather an
 indexing issue in Windows (keep in mind that windows indexes are not ran
 all the time, they are on a timer, and as such newly uploaded content may
 not be indexed instantly).

 As it's a Windows thing, and not a WordPress one, I'll mark this ticket as
 invalid, but should you find anything that indicates that WordPress' image
 handling is somehow messing up file data, feel free to let us know :)
