 Was thinking to use a specific rule for the plugin modal spinner because
 I'd like to try to significantly reduce CPU usage also while the spinner
 is showing. Experimented a bit in the last days, would appreciate your
 opinion and any thoughts. See attached test patch which reduces the re-
 painted area to a 20px x 20px square. Should then be combined with your
 solution to remove the spinner after the load event.
