Comment:

 This would need some exploration in form of a plugin, including user
 tests.

 I don't really see the benefit though at the moment. Admin pages aren't
 many levels deep, e.g. when I'm on the "Plugins -> Add New -> Upload"
 screen I can clearly see where I am in the admin menu.
