Comment:
[attachment:32678.3.diff] is a full build-out of the i8 concept (see those
screenshots):
- Add admin menu icons to the toolbar's admin sub-menu
- Align toolbar "admin" menu spacing/fonts with that of the admin menu
- Add a visit site link with the home icon in the admin
- Add an icon to the "View Post" links (this was the only thing in the
admin bar without an icon), so that they can be displayed on mobile,
giving admin/backend parity for viewing/editing content on mobile as we
have on desktop
- Move "My Sites" after the site title
- Use the WordPress logo for the menu toggle in the admin on mobile, to
match the front-end behavior
This could use testing but is probably ready for a first-pass commit. Only
thing that's missing are the new icons and potential tweaks (for example,
background color of the front-end admin sub-menu). Also a bit awkward that
we now have two links to the front page in the admin, especially since we
don't really have room for them and it's getting a bit cluttered. I'm not
planning on iterating on the patch further, so feel free to adjust it
further.
This would be a great thing to test and gather feedback about at the WCEU
contributor day tomorrow for those that'll be there.
