 My thoughts exactly @chipbennett: I put in this ticket to get the
 conversation started about this feature. In its current iteration it is
 little more than a confusing frustration. If it got built out properly it
 could be a great extension of WordPress, but that development would
 require a complete overhaul of function and functionality, something that
 should not happen in Core but in a Feature Plugin.
