Comment:

 I've just added 2 patches. The first one (31168-a.patch) makes the default
 `comment_status` for pages to be `closed`. The second one (31168-b.patch)
 also makes the `ping_status` for pages `closed` by default. Both patches
 include unit tests for testing the default values.
