Comment:

 One potential pitfall is that this could have is that we could get out of
 date pretty quickly.  I think what we should do is have a tracking ticket
 every release for updating the dependencies.  We can then close this out
 during (or at the start of ) beta.  I'm open to other ideas though to help
 ensure we don't end up too out of date.
