 I realize the issue is closed, but since your question went unanswered as
 far as I could tell, I thought I'd give an example. One functionality
 benefit is not having to wait until the whole page loads before using
 jQuery for non-DOM-related tasks such as asynchronously loading other
 resources with $.ajax().
