 If we want to split the difference, we can use #f1f1f1 as a page
 background. I've used this a hundred times in the past and it seems to
 provide adequate contrast with a white container on top of it, especially
 since ours have darker borders and shadows. [attachment:25858.10.diff]
 makes that change.
